AP RO w/ Ceramic Bezel SIHH 2018

Hi!

I saw on the Rolex sub-forums that AP released a 42mm RO with a ceramic bezel. Can't find it anywhere on the Internet...

Yes this model appears to have a ceramic bezel and is Ti, yet the specs says it’s SS with no mention of bezel material.
(Plus lists counters as blue?!)

I noticed how they stated it had blue counters. Wonder if this was a typo?? Also, the bezel looks different than the 44s. The color seems more grey, at least on the grey dial. And the brush marks look less defined. Maybe it’s just the photos.

Yeah guess then live pics will answer our questions before the AP site is updated.

The site never displays the best photos but looking at both the SS and Ti they both shown a distinct variation between case material colour/finish and bezel colour/finish.

Really would love this if they gave an option without a date.

Do we think there will be a crazy waitlist for this or no?

Doubt it. The new 44s didn't have a huge waitlist at the beginning.

thats tough. Im going to say yes initially (first couple of months), but then again its not a new watch. Its exactly the same as the current model just with a ceramic bezel. Its probably going to be modestly discounted in a year.

I also wondered about the info. The diver chronos thickness was wrong when it out snd the strap on the grey while appearing grey states black snd red. They both say ss, if the grey is titanium I’d be thrilled!

Judging by the Watch Browser comparison page I'd say the grey and black have the same ceramic bezel, and the grey has a darker Ti case.

MichaelC has it as ceramic.

Now that grey one is very nice. I was going to buy the 'elephant' as my next watch but the steel bezel and the leather strap were two of my concerns around durability (I'm always knocking my watches and I'm in and out the pool a lot). This has just alleviated both of those concerns. Cant wait to see it

Wow didn't see this coming so soon, stoked for the grey one.

Sorry doubters who said ceramic bezel will be 44 only. But 44 still has the better chrono pushers...

Is this grey dial with blue subdials/numbers belongs to titanium version? In fact it is attractive color scheme and if AP will add a ceramic bezel to this dial it is going to be a killer piece, even in steel

The picture is correct of the grey dial Ti42 with the correct ref number its the description which is incorrect and lists it as SS with blue counters and different strap
