Exactly! Serif inserts demand a premium. Keep your original insert.

Your watch does not appear to have the serif font. I believe all U-serial's came with the serif font. This insert looks to have been replaced, and not the original. It's not that big of a deal unless you want a period correct insert.

Does an F serial have a serif or non serif font on pepsi bezels? I'm interested for my own sake.

Thank you for all your help. I got the trade cancelled, and will keep my old insert.

I don’t think there’s clear, concrete evidence out there regarding the serif on 16710 bezels. Also, with many being replaced during service and/or by owners due to preference of one over the other, Coke vs Pepsi, etc, it’s near impossible to say at this point.

As long as any insert in genuine Rolex dont really matter what the insert fonts are on models like the 16710.And believe it or not watches like the 16710 when introduced way back in 1988 the inserts were meant to be changed. And much like the dials have tiny variations over the production years as they were made in 3 different factories now all owned by Rolex. And today because of internet hype mainly by the sellers wanting to charge stupid money for things like serif fonts etc.Inserts are very cheap to buy from Rolex cost now around $60-$75 or less, the 16710 is a great and very versatile reference get all 3 inserts three different watches for very little cost.

I guess you all mean the "insert" - the bezel if the steel ring with the teeth. The insert is the aluminum blue/red ring, which sits on the bezel.
Looks like you have a great looking serif pepsi insert. Rolex used different fonts over the years, but they now only use Arial. Which is why your Serif is actually more desirable to have on. |

Thank you so much, guys!
I am really insecure on whether or not I should take my pepsi back before the watchmaker starts servicing it. Is there anything else I should worry about when it comes to service? He will not polish the watch. |

Here's my F series. I believe it's the correct dated insert. I sourced it on TRF
