I turned 69 last month and been wearing Rolex watches since the 70s. Money was only an issue to me when it came to affording what I wanted. I’ve always thought of other Rolex wearers as being watch enthusiasts like me. I could care less about what other people think about my watch or how I’m doing financially?!

All I can say to you, get what you like as you do not know what tomorrow will bring.

Buy now and enjoy your watch.
Time is a nonrenewable asset. Money is fungible and you can always make more. You can't create more time.

I like David SW. There are other trusted Grey market dealers but my experience with him was a good one. I only bought one watch Grey (Batman 2.0). I usually can get watches from an AD but my AD didn't know when she'd get one so I pulled the trigger.

A month later my AD got the new Batman for me and a few other steel watches and it was easy to flip the grey Batman to a friend and get my money back, if that matters to you. No regrets.

Live your life now.

Purchase and enjoy! My Rolex give me immense pleasure. When averaged over the next 20 or more years the extra cost from buying "grey" will decrease year by year! You worked hard, enjoy the fruits of your labor and enjoy a spectacular watch to pass on to the next generation who will always have a keepsake from you! Looking forward to your purchase and pics!

I just passed the one year anniversary of my cancer surgery. Came out of nowhere, 53 years old. I have a battle ahead, which I intend to win! I did consolidate two watches to purchase the one I have always wanted. If you don't have to and have the means, go grey and don't wait. Alternatively though it is just a watch, there is so much more that is more important. Pic of my "grail"

Personally I think there is nothing wrong going Grey if you have enough cash and you are well covered for the rest of your life.

I recommend buying hot SS sport watches that are easy to sell / flip incase if you ever need to such as Daytona, BLNR, Submariner...etc; these watches also hold their value very well.

Try to get on a list or visit a few AD’s and try to get on their list. Be patient and do not pay these crazy premiums. I saw a thread today that someone paid $20,9K for a new Sub. That person must have a lot of money to throw it away like that. Don’t pay these crazy prices. Good luck.
