I've never seen a Rolex like this...
I assume it's aftermarket coating? What's the benefit, other than the obvious resistance to scuffs? http://www.europeanwatch.com/14445.htm

there are other variations(?) too.
i once saw a pic where they "skin" the dial so that the movement can be seen from the front. didn't look too pretty IMO. |

I think it is pretty ballsy and cool! I'd recommend sandblasted the polished surfaces though (like the side of the case) in order to get a more uniform and muted look.
Anyone know what they wanted for this one? (just curious! :-)) |
