I didn’t at first but having been an LVC owner and selling it after about a year, I’ve come to the conclusion that I do prefer the new 2020 Starbucks edition.

I have to say, I like the new Kermit to the hulk. But overall, the original does it for me more than either.

God I wish I hadn’t sold mine....

Admit what? There are plenty of black dial Rolexes already, Hulk owners prefer the green dial, stop stirring.

This is nonsensical.

Are you saying all Hulk owners don’t like black dials?

I owned a Hulk for 9 years and sold it recently because I prefer the black dial.

I’m willing to bet that if the new Kermit and Hulk were both available for purchase from an AD, most people would be buying the Kermit.

Remember, the Hulk was available for 6-7 years before people started showing interest in it. I bought mine out of the case with a 25% discount. Nobody wanted them! The green dial didn’t match the bezel, too green, too garish etc.

Thanks for sharing, great snapshots.
I´ll stick with my Hulk, although I´m really tempted to trade up to a 116508 with green dial

I think the all black sub is more timeless, and elegant. But the LV is special. Most people will take the new Kermit over a black sub just because of the hype. Isn't this the sole reason why the fallacious story of "hulks sitting in cabinets for weeks" got its legs?

The black is timeless, the Hulk is scintillating and special (and impossible to acquire for years upon years).

To me, the new Kermit is all hype. There is no "special" or "endearing" quality to it, unlike the original Kermit (the first and OG kermit) and the Hulk (first all green sub). You take away the Hulk dial, and the magic is now lost, and you're just left with that "bad milky" bezel that I thought everyone hated. Funny how suddenly those same detractors are the one's who like the new ceramic kermit, too.

So it’s the same colour - is it the same size? Is the new bezel 41mm or is it just the case?

it is thus the opposite for me. I regret that there is no more sunburst dial. That was all the magic of the watch compared to the black version.

Now I saw no charm, specialty or interest in it. Just the green bezel which seems to be added.

I ordered the two-tone version 126613LB to diversify my collection, keeping my Hulk...

I appreciate your feedback.

No it is perfectly simple. Pay attention. Now black Subs were the same back then as the green, neither had wait lists, the Hulk was not an outlier it had a good following of which I was one pre-hype and for the dial not the bezel which is key. So my point was there are plenty of black dial options including two SS black subs, both of which I owned before wanting something more interesting, so Hulk owners who have chosen the green dial over black are not now feeling sour that a Cermit has been released, a few are perhaps like you, but the majority are not, as this forum has demonstrated on multiple threads, so don't make any more silly bets.

Indeed, Rolex got the Cermit the wrong way around to make Hulk owners sour, if they had put the gorgeous green dial on a black bezel then maybe there would be some butt hurt, as Zippo seems to think there is, but getting rid of the green dial and keeping the milky bezel is the worst of both worlds so no, Hulk owners like me are not fussed by this Cermit at all, rather I feel a bit sorry for those green fans that have to go this route now.

Brushed green dial with a black bezel would've made me bribe my SA. Saw a mock up floating around and it looked sweet. Maybe I should get a black Sub and make 2 LV's out of them :)

For me the mismatch of dial and bezel on a subc reminds me too much of a mod or franken so it doesn't work for me, even if now it's OEM, but this way around is certainly nicer I agree .

I wore my Hulk today and more than once thought, how can anyone like the new version better? I understand if green isn’t you deal, then just go all black. I don’t understand wanting just that green bezel with the black face. Nothing pops. The SB dial on the Hulk pops and the all black is a timeless classic. The new version...not sure where it fits. Classic black dial with the same green bezel. At least the original had a maxi dial. This is just a plain black sub with a green bezel that is not a very interesting color.

I'm not even remotely interested in the new black dial version. Seems lazy.

I love all three. I look forward to adding the Cermit to my collection. The black dial will make it more suitable as a daily wear piece. The Kermit and Hulk won’t be going anywhere, they have their attributes and unique qualities.

A topic which hasn't really been discussed too much is the fact that the clasp on the Hulk is actually a slimmer width of 17.6 than the clasp on the Kermit (18.8) which seems counterintuitive.

Totally agree. Glad I got my hulk end of last year just in time.
With that said, if someone is looking to buy new going forward and wants some color, I can understand the appeal of the new LV

I think the original Kermit is the best size and has the best green shade on the bezel. The Hulk has the best looking dial. The new model sits somewhere in the middle for me.

i absolutely adore my hulk, living in year round sun i get to see that sunburst all the time. would never sell it! picked up a 114060 in february and it gets about the same wrist time as the hulk. however i have been wanting a black dial date, so the LN at the time.. now that the new LV has that black dial it’s on my radar! i’d jump on the next plane straight to nassau if i were to get a call... heck id even take my boat hahaha
let’s see how the market settles after more and more have been sold, it’s NUTS now. retail retail retail
