So... my wife/Muse just came home. I ask her how was your day honey, yada yada, you know, appearing like I'm interested and actually listening in whatever she's saying while dying to tell her the news.

Oh, she did bring home from Publix a big slab bone-in for the Dryager. Figure 45 days of dry aging this time around. Anyway....

So my turn to talk. Sweet! Here we go as I smile like a Cheshire cat. I ask her "Guess what I bought today? You have one guess allowed."

She guessed right... surprises no one here on TRF. She loves the fidget spinner top and the side display makes it different than anything else. I did go on a bit about the Blue version and... ... ... I SWEAR it was at that moment I could feel her mocking me. Mocking ME! Like she was thinking "Yeah yeah whatever, it is a really cool timepiece but do I need to have to hear the ENTIRE backstory?"

Anywho, she very much approves.

Of her mocking me as I give a far too long-winded and overly detailed backstory with a brief 'cut away' story in the middle? No doubt there, she knows me all too well.

This is just a fun cool watch. I put in for the lottery but who knows how good my chances are.

I was ready to enter the lottery but then I asked myself "Wait, 2900CHF for a Miyota-powered watch?" Then I closed the page...

Thanks very much for posting this. I have bought a lottery ticket so best of luck to everyone who also has. I have always admired the uniqueness of the MB&F timepieces and I think this venture is great to make something similar available to a wider audience. I think it is incredible value for money when you consider the complexity of the watch and the redesigned movement.

Even if I am unlucky in the lottery, this is a wonderful example of how TRF and its members help each other out - kudos to you.

Members of The Tribe, and those who begged and pleaded for the Blue, and begged some more, were offered the opportunity. If you miss out on Red, relax as in the future....

Max is doing the right thing. I don't care if it's a Miyota movement. It's to reach a price point without going too far down the road. What would you want? A brand new custom in-house movement?

As it is, it's heavily modified to present the side-view time, and it's a fun watch.

Look, Omega and Swatch are trying the same thing, and it's the anti-Rolex, Patek, VC. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Few weeks?! That's fast. I received my MAD1 blue before I saw it on any social media or forums and it still took a lot longer than that.

Those are cheap workhouse watches.
So imo it really doesn't matter

The work that went into this watch ' modifying the movement, the way the hours and minutes are showed the case ... everything makes 3000 euro imo cheap.
No matter what movement is inside

One movement might be 50 euro, the other 150 ... doesn't make any difference, does it ?

I wanted to post a gif of a famous Chris rock stand up skit where he says “they spinnin” but unfortunately he uses the n word so had to refrain.

I don’t much care what movement goes into this watch. You couldn’t pay me to wear it. It might be the ugliest watch I’ve ever seen. It reminds me of spinning rims from 20 years ago.

I am generally a big fan of all things MBF. This is just a design I don’t like. No big deal. It’s clearly very popular.

lol
you have a point :-)

Ans I agree it's so special you probably love it or hate it.
Most of the times I'm not a fan of those special weird looking watches.
I aprreciate MB&F, Urwerk, ... but often nog for me.

Now this is different, can have something unique that does not cost 50-150 K
So YES I want it
And Yes I'll buy it ( in fact already did )

Congrats. Maybe my toddler would like it as someone else mentioned. He’s quite enamored with my watches and this one does seem like it would catch his eye particularly in the dark

I’ll admit I entered the lottery. How can one not take a ticket for free? I’m a ramblin gamblin man.
