Tried both on at the ad recently and the wavey dial looks so much better than the old one. In the end i went for the tudor as the 42mm looked too big on my wrist.

Many people are switching to omega due to rolex supply issues which imo is slowly destroying the brand

which Tudor did you buy?

I have the black bay red and black bay GMT both in the 41mm case size - love both very much but wouldn't say that the SMP 300m wears larger than either of those - I haven't seen the 58 in the flesh but very well done if you got one of those

Great shot. It would be very hard to choose between the black and the blue...but that shot might be the deciding factor!

Both are nice. I also had a tough time to choose but eventually settled on blue. I feel it's a little more dynamic.

That's thanks to the watch unique ceramic dial and the wave pattern.

Trying desperately to get fair shots of this dial, but nothing like what Ben is producing. Well done!

Make sure you have the opportunity to see one in the flesh, especially if you are undecided between the black and blue dials. I'm a sucker for blue dials. The touches of red are an added bonus.

Leaning towards the blue, hopefully it crosses my path when I hit the road in a few months.

I had a chance to get a 114060 recently and I’m so glad I chose the new Seamaster instead. Honestly no Rolex including the Hulk, Batman, and the other “hot models” have given me the amount of enjoyment this Seamaster has provided.

I love the sub but seeing them side by side, the SMP is just so much more interesting, imo the sub is boring.

Well said. As I am keen to tell anyone who will listen, this New 2018 Seamaster 300 is an outstanding watch.

That’s also my conclusion But I am not telling that to my WIS friend who own the Sub.

This watch has nearly endless dial coloration depending on light. Here it takes on an orange / golden hue

Here the watch demonstrates the very cool bi-color lume

^^^I agree. I can’t believe it actually. I was awaiting a Tudor GMT that never materialized (although my AD tried) and this was a last minute purchase after I tried on the rubber version at a Boutique. It not only re-invigorated my passion for watches but the Omega brand itself.

I have both and they are very different watches so you should try both on before making a decision. However, bang for your buck you can’t beat the Seamaster.

shall we start a thread on the main rolex page - why have you submariner owners bought the wrong watch?
