Advice: original papers vs archive papers

How much is value and ease of resale affected if the watch is missing original papers, but has archive papers?

I think it would be lower with the archive vs. original. Personally I would be ok purchasing with archive papers.

For newer watches (10 years or less), I expect it to come with original papers. For vintage watches, I'm okay with either original or archive papers. I see a value hit on newer watches without papers, but not so much on older watches.

Thanks guys. Sounds like having archive papers isn’t preferred but isn’t a dealbreaker either if the price is right

Personally wouldn't make a difference to me - I'd be more concerned about the overall condition of the piece. You can't wear the papers - archive or original.
