Have no idea you’d have to ask them and it appears that you can.

Well now OP has some "concrete" info to go on, and not a bunch of "speculation"

Thanks your positive help - thats what these forums are about.

Funny...I have to assume thanks to this thread, I received a reply!

A simple email saying the issue is "intermittent" and they can't pinpoint it. The watch was well over 1 hour fast over a 24 hour period when I sent it to them (last July) and it was the exact same issue when I received it back "serviced". Doesn't sound intermittent to me! Basically the email was a bunch of BS and nothing more.

I still have zero confidence that I'll see the watch in working order from them. Couldn't even show the respect of calling me; just a 2 sentence email that amounted to "keep waiting". I'm done waiting. This was a trivial issue for anyone with basic knowledge to fix. I already have measures in place with my bank.

I would have them ship it back in what ever condition its in. Then find a local place to complete the work.

I considered it. My reply basically said that considering the situation, there's no reason I shouldn't have the watch back in working order by this weekend. This isn't a scenario where there are broken parts that need to be ordered and replaced. AFAIK, the thing just needs to be de-gaussed. I have a few old PC monitors in my basement that could probably do the trick...

Also, I find it sad that I only received a reply after resorting to posting on a public watch forum about my issue. This shouldn't be needed and I wish I didn't have to create this thread.

I you can get your watch back (hopefully) send it to Mark Sirianni in Kane PA Watch Doctor which is fairly close to your location. I had the same exact issue with my DJ which is on the F/S forum. Mark fixed and fully serviced my watch and it keeps perfect time for an exceptional price as well as a turn around time of 10 days from shipping it out to him from NY.

Did you pay for the $500 service with a credit card?
Get your watch back, regardless of condition and then call your CC company and file a claim of goods/service not delivered.

Then send to the recommendations above my post....

So since they aren't able to properly service your watch, do they have some sort of guarantee that if they can't fix it, they can give you your watch back (duh) and your money back?

Did you already file a complaint with BBB or at least tell Watchwerks you will be filing one? Not sure if that would help.

We are all pulling for ya!

Negative; all I have right now is hope.

I did file with BBB and contacted my bank about the service charge. I'm going to wait until the end of the week to pull the trigger on that one. I bank with a local Credit Union who is very customer-forward so I think I'll be able to take action if needed.

Noonan,

Your location is +/- 8hrs from Kane Pa, whereas my location is +/- 6hrs, so it's a bit further than I though for you, but definitely worth sending. I'm also sending my circa '95 TT DJ 16233 to Mark this month for the same exact issue with no hesitations whatsoever.

Thanks. If my watch isn't received back fixed, I'll reach out to Kane for sure!

It's Mark, not Kane. Kane is the town in PA.

Update - Back in the dark. No further communication since the "intermittent issue; keep waiting" email. No reply to my comment about how the issue was not at all intermittent and that they could easily verify by throwing it on a timer.

This is some amazingly poor customer service and I'm still not remotely convinced I'll get my watch back in working order or that I'll see a refund if it's returned once again un-repaired. Patience is running thin.

As someone stated above - if you paid by CC - just get your watch back in any condition and dispute the charge with the CC company.

Yeah, I've already spoken with my bank and got the info I need to do a proper fraud claim. At this point I'm really kicking myself for trusting them enough to ship the watch back after they had it for 6+ months and did nothing to it; at the cost of $500.

Clearly a business not afraid to trash their hard won reputation. I never did get a call back either.

Pulled the trigger on filing a claim with my bank. At this point I'm not sure if I should try to contact them anymore (not like they'd reply anyway). The saga continues....

I assume that will only help you recoup your $500 service charge. To get the watch back or its market value small claims court is your best option. Also keep going with the BBB. There's a resolved dispute listed against the business. Good luck

Well looks like the charge dispute won't be as easy as I thought since the charge happened 3 months ago. I would have been fine if I didn't give them an extra month of waiting but here we are. Fun way to start the weekend.

And, of course, still not a peep of a reply to any of my requests for an update since I posted this thread and (I assume) someone there saw it.

I'm confused and am trying to keep up with the story here, I thought you said in post #43 that you received a reply from them. Are you now saying you didn't?
