To answer the context of my comment - its not regarding the secondary market, it is the fact that the seller was clearly pulling a fast one early on in the thread.

Stall tactics, BS support, etc.

The first red flag is that his GF is going to keep the watch. And thats before he picks up an empty box. I feel for the OP, but he clearly needed the school fees.

The OP wired the seller money way before the "first red flag" appeared. What would you have done differently if it were you in that situation, at that point, that might have yielded more success?

It has been two weeks now. Maybe I can smell BS sooner than most.

Either way, life is the best teacher. Willing to bet the seller didn't have either watch.

The seller already gave the OP’s friend the Hulk (in person). The Hulk is currently being mailed by the OP’s friend (in Cali) to the OP. So he’s already getting one watch. The Batman is the one still MIA.

Again- really sorry about the lack of integrity in some individuals
can't possibly get my friends to keep helping me run around dealing watches.

this is a 1 off assistance by them which i am truly grateful for.

for those who wants to try scamming, beware, anything can be dug out.

first win for me as of now

Congrats! Some are saying the hulk is possibly a fake. Have you authenticated it just to be sure?

Yes they do. This story would seem to be quite convoluted. No questioning the OP but, its very strange.

yes. cameras, but there are definitely blind spots of the camera.

fedex is still on the case.

1. Fedex staff stole it
2. Seller BS the story

but now, no hard evidence so i can't point fingers just yet.

lol, i am not a first time buyer. i always do my due diligence.

having multiple deals builds trust between buyer and seller.
i am giving seller at first all the benefit of the doubt because i believe that we had done at least 5 deals and all went well.
I also trust that his gf wants it or whatever reason it is.

if a seller decided to fk it all up, it's not within any of our control except the seller's conscience and the music he has to face it things get caught up to him.

are you willing to risk a good job, a normal life for 20k? if yes, then you're clearly dumb as hell. especially those with a strong internet footprint.

this could happen to any one of us here.

It is pretty certain the seller made the story up. He already jerked you around and tried to steal your wire money. There is no way I would believe anything that comes from him.

When you have the manager of a companies like DSW advertising to the world (via YouTube) they a particular carrier (in their case FedEx) I am actually surprised there arn't more thefts.

I bet most of these lost packages are inside jobs and the seller is in for one hell of a fight for his insurance claim.

Hope you received a refund and I wish the seller luck in recovering their money.

OP must phone the issuing branch in Gardena (+1 310-327-2222) and confirm its in process and a genuine transaction. Its just too easy these day to falsify bank checks, money orders, wire docs etc.

That sucks.

Care to share your story? Did you watch your surrounding?

I hope you didn't listen to all the bad advices on the forum that "it's safe and no one noticed your watch"

i have to be because basically that someone is holding me to my balls and since i am half a world away, i can't do much.
so should someone decided to disappear, i won't even have a penny left

i am very fortunate to have friends all living in the states and some whom i met here.
