Seamaster Planet Ocean vs 300m Diver

Hi guys, thinking about my next purchase and really love the Seamaster line of watches. I am really edging towards the PO because I love the wrist presence and size of it - keeping in mind that I own a Panerai and am a HUGE fan of those.

But my dilemma is that I would like something that could also be dressed up a bit in a formal setting. I know that the 300m will fit the bill, it is the James Bond watch after all ;) But wondering if it will be the same case regarding the planet ocean.
