Wristshots of speedy please...
Looking to add a chronograph in my collection, and speedy really caught my attention. I am average wristed, a 40-44mm looks ok to me, if anyone can just post a wristshot, it will be great for me to imagine on how it will look on my wrist since i cant try one on due to theres no omega AD near my area.
And one more, is the speedy pro manual wind more desireable compared to other speedy models? Please, enlight me on this. Thanks. Andri |

Here's mine on a pencil wrist.
I do think the speedy pro manual wind is more sought after being the one that went to the moon. |

It's the space mission series, I think there are a total of 13 different sub dials each corresponding to the different space missions. Mine's the gemini x edition.
Got it from Japan sometime back |

Purchasing the Speedmaster Pro is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Is it possible to post an image saved on your computer or will it only let you do it from a website?

Whoaaa.. I dont know what to say, either i thank you all or hate u all.. These pictures are killing me.. I contacted omega boutique nearest my area, they only have the speedy pro in brown, but they also have the new one (with two sub-dials) but the price different is like 50% more..
What do you think guys? Is speedy really worth the $$$? |

Go with the Pro, though the Piguet Broad Arrow models are excellent too.

Seriously thinking of getting a Hirsch strap for this watch. Threads like this one are great for new ideas.

1980s Speedmaster Pro.
Bought from an AD and SO bummed it doesn't have the Omega logo in the hesalite crystal. Oh well, I'll learn to live with its' shortcoming. Hoping to get end links made by Etur since I wear it on the 'gator. Maybe someday I'll put the band back on. Options are good. Seriously, my Speedy is one of two I'll never sell/trade. The other is my 1985 Datejust. Showing it here with end links for Omega brothers, perhaps, not familiar with Rolex end links. Covers the gap between case and strap. Whirled Peas... |

Same case and movement as the Speedy Pro with different bezel, dial/hand set and case back so the size is the same. My wrist is 7.35"

Missed the OP mention of average wrist. Don't know what that would be, but it's not me. I'm at 6.75"
"Yes" to the question about being worth it. I had an early 80s one stolen. Replaced it at a higher cost with my current one. If that ever turned up MIA, I'd replace it again even at current MSRP if I had too (shudder). Thinking about it, it'd be the first watch I'd replace if all were lost. Without thinking twice. Well, I'd try not to pay MSRP ;) Here's another shot on my boney wrist... |
