5712 vs 5726 with recent price increase?
Hi,
I wanted to ask that how everyone feels now choosing between a 5712 (steel on bracelet) and 5726. With recent price increase on 5712, the different is less than $5k. On the other hand, 5726 offers so much more than 5712 in terms of overall package. Asking because I am on a waitlist for a white dial 5711. After that, I was thinking that I will start saving up for 5712 (steel on bracelet) and it will be a great combo with the white dial 5711. Now I am not so sure about 5712. On the other hand, 5726 doesn’t seem to get much love with Patek collectors with other Nautilus models (5711, 5712, 5990) taking all the attention. |

I wouldn’t think about the price difference and just get the one you prefer. I’d go for the 5712 for the thinner case, and I really prefer not having a lots of things to set on a watch.

I also would get the one you want here. Both are expensive, so don’t settle.
I prefer the 5712/1a for many reasons, including the thinner case, the micro rotor, the thoughtful dial (it is controlled chaos, thoughtfully executed), the touches of red on the dial, and the blue dial. Winner, winner, chicken dinner, imho.

Haha. I accidentally posted in wrong thread. Was trying to post in the “4 each collection” thread. Oops But since I'm in this thread, the obvious answer is to get both a 5712 and 5726 !! Grab them if you can find them !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

5712
The all steel 5712 is a real beauty. I have one myself and the dial is a real stunner!
The price is going up by 20% first week of March here in the UK to £30,500 as confirmed by Patek Phillipe in Bond street and currently has a 6 and a half year waiting list! Get it quick! |

Had the 5712 and 5726 on strap at the same time, prefer the 5712, because ultra thin, and at 46 my eyes aren’t so great any more, and often it was hard to make out the day and month, but it is a great watch, had I have gotten the bracelet model I might still have it, IMO a Nautilus is best on bracelet

I prefer the 5712. I definitely thought about the 5726 as it is much easier to get (I was offered one by an AD in December) and a better value in comparison with the annual calendar function, but it just doesn't speak to me the same way the 5712 does. I was pretty sure if I picked up the 5726 that I would still lust for a 5712, so I passed.

The 15202 or LVc are going nowhere, rest assured. If I do get the 5712, then the yet-to-come FPJ CB might be moved in its favour. |

When you see and hold the fp journe chronometre blue in your hands and put it on you most likely will change your mind. It is absolutely gorgeous. Tough choices |

One in, one out is my creed now, as I don't need more than 4/5 watches at a time, and don't want to add more money to this crazy hobby, altho my portfolio, I mean collection, is worth more than I paid.

I’m in the same boat. At some point it gets kind od ridiculous. I think I hit that point about 2014! I’m at a point where 2 must = 1. I need to downsize myself, but I couldn’t get to 4 - 5 watches at this point. But I can force myself to trade 2 for 1 and end up with a nicer, smaller collection.

And good grief I'm glad I'm not the only one who views my collection more like a portfolio. I totally don't psychotically check on C24, WF, the Sales Corner, DSW's site, etc. for an update on what my investments are worth... |
