Incoming!

Went to my AD today to buy my wife some Jewelry for her birthday next week. The owner knows I have been wanting a new Batman on Oyster since they launched.

So I go in and meet with the manager who is the nicest lady ever and see the necklace I ordered for my wife and decide to buy my wife a bracelet along with what I ordered for her.

The owner walks over and goes what if I packaged this with the watch you have been wanting how would that be? Me: well I want a few and you guys have gotten me everything so far that I have asked for so I am curious which watch it is since I have several on the list.

Out comes the owner with my new Batman on Oyster. It is the first one they have received. Man I am stoked!

All it takes is a good relationship with your AD. All these people with crazy conspiracies about them are just that crazy.

Some will probably argue this was still a bundle that helped tip the scale in your favor. But regardless, congratulations, oyster GMTs are the best

i mean, heck, if he was going to be purchasing those for his wife anyway, might as well take advantage of the situation, right?

More a reward for loyalty, I think. Sounds like he’d already decided to buy the jewelry and was doing so there based on an existing relationship, not in order to obtain a particular watch.

Now, if he’d been on the fence about it, or had yet to even consider the bracelet, and the owner proposed this, I’d consider it more of a bundle.

Same would be true if all of that jewelry could be had elsewhere for $3,000 but he was buying here solely to grease the gears on future watches purchases. But doesn’t sound like that’s it.

Oh yes, absolutely. And certainly the relationship with the AD was already there to be even considered for the possibility with a GMT, at least that's how I see it. Sorry to have detracted from the joy and excitement. Glad to see both the wife AND the husband ended up with something nice!

Huge congrats! It's bundling in a roundabout kind of way. Happy Birthday in advance to the wife and enjoy them in the best of health.

I have been going to the same AD for years and in the last year have gotten 2 Bluesy's for employees of mine, 1 Stainless sub for myself like 2 months ago and A pepsi for my wife beginning of this year.
