An unexpected Surprise

I was never particularly drawn to these…until I saw a couple in the wild. I was then given the opportunity to actually try one on earlier this summer and I was hooked! I requested either black or white but since I only have Black in my collection I stated a slight preference for the white.
My AD has been absolutely wonderful to me so I knew in time I would be offered one, but I got a call on Thursday and couldn’t believe it. I was supposed to pick it up today, but couldn’t wait so I rearranged my schedule and went in last night. So thrilled

Thanks all. Honestly the best aspect of these to me is size as far as Chronos go. I didn’t have one in my collection and looked at many from other brands. Between size and casual feel, it’s really perfect for me…

OP that’s a very special watch and even beyond today’s hype I’ve always appreciated the Daytona. My love affair for the reference is almost 30 years old and while the market seems to have coincided with me lately and pricing has gone crazy, I still see the Daytona as the most attractive Rolex in the range. Once again, a huge congrats.

Thanks so much! I was definitely late to the party in terms of appreciation. TBH I think the hype is actually what kept me away for so long

Congrats! But do I read correctly that your wait from ask to delivery was <6 months? Impressive, even if you are a whale customer.
