Different customer service no question, but they would let you change dials on your Datejust or DD if I'm not mistaken. Sports models no way, only if you buy parts here or somewhere else and trust your independent watchmaker.

Well done Flavio! I love it both ways, I’d probably switch back and forth every five years.

Those PO 2500’s are such awesome watches. I have no idea why I don’t have one.

However, the dial is not the same on the 2208.50 and the 2200.51 IMO. When you have them side by side you notice the orange 6,9,12 on the 2200.51 is more vivid. I believe they made that way to highlight the orange numerals on the reference with black bezel, and tone down the dial on the model with orange bezel. It's just something I noticed back then and I have no proof of that but I believe if I use the dial I have here with a black bezel it will look wrong.
Could be the difference you mean was due to a comparison of older and newer dials?
I can't tell about 45mm models, but I have a pair of 42mm watches, both more or less in the same age. THe dials look the same for me.
Anyway, well done with this mod

Thanks for sharing this pic. I meant the 45 but it looks the same for me on your pic as well. Like I said I could be wrong and it happens all the time. I'll ask my watchmaker if both dials have the same part number.

Awesome, I think the 2200.50 looks great.

I am looking at one for sale. Was disappointed to see it says it is 45.5mm, which is big!
Is this size correct?

Thanks. Yes it is and I suggest you try before buying, Tony. But if you're used to the 8500 PO this one is flatter and smaller on the wrist. I can't say it's very comfortable for daily wear though. Glad that I have many other 40mm watches for that.
