Love my PPC. My automatics are quick and easy to handle/rotate so I wear them most days but my manual wind is my favorite. I enjoy setting the date and appreciate its intricacies. If I had to sell all my watches I’d still hold on to my PPC.

A manual PCC works well as a one only as it really should be. Unworn, but winding every day gets tiresome.

This is exactly what I do. Don’t mind at all.

J. Not a salmon fan on my pasty Caucasian complexion.

I don’t think it’s going to be a problem just winding every couple days, but will certainly update if I end up hating it.

It works well in a rotation, speaking from personal experience. I enjoy winding it on days I’m not wearing it as it keeps me engaged with the watch even though it’s not on my wrist.

I can’t see how winding the crown daily is a chore for some.

I love doing it on lots of watches I own. I probably own more manual wind watches that automatics.

I also love setting the 5270. The winding mechanism is pretty much perfect having experienced all sorts from JLC to omega.

I will concede that the setup would get a little frustrating if you did it a lot. Ie forget to keep it going once a week or so and had to go through the pushers.

But for me that never happens. I love setting it up and I usually keep it running for a few weeks before it goes back in the safe for a few months.

Worst case you could always buy a manual watch winder. I have a buddy coming to market with one soon that will be very affordable.

I owned a 5270P for a bit, if you travel often or have a larger collection it can become inconvenient to wind it everyday. Subjectively, I still believe aesthetically it is one of the best PCC in the watch world and Patek's first inhouse PCC. I will be back in one but this time the blue 5270G no chin.
