First Grand Seiko - SBGW253 has arrived!

Just...wow. Had only seen it in pictures, and as a few of you might have known, I was torn between this and the SBGW231. It is even better in person!! Pictures do not do this watch justice, and it is a tough watch to photograph.

Thanks to a smooth transaction from a fellow member here; got 3 straps out of it, including 2 OEM straps, 1 OEM deployant and 1 OEM buckle.

Absolutely the right decision for me, and like most, I'm amazed at the level of detail by GS here. This one's a keeper!!

That is a beauty, congrats. I must admit the thinner profile of the 253 is a big advantage it has over the 231. Would be an absolutely killer watch to wear with a suit.

Congrats! Although I love my 231, this model is equally outstanding in my opinion!

Absolutely stunning!!! Lose the straps with the stitching though, that watch deserves only the most dressy strap available. She's a stunner!!!

This one is definitely a keeper! Can't think of another watch from any brand at this price point that would match it's classic good looks and fine detailing.

Yes it can if you put it on your wrist every morning. However if you don't then it's highly doubtful.
