The Rolex Green Hornet?

Found this on IG---Hmmm....Looks good from far but far from good. I nick-named it (and yes --all Rolexes need a nick name!)

Since when was the daytime green? The point of these watches seems lost on the instagram generation.

The BLNR makes the most sense. BLRO is an odd combination, but chosen historically. Green and yellow are just fashion nonsense.

Serves no reasonable function in those colors. Why not pink and orange! SMH

Well Rolex has picked some unusual ones - classic Root Beer and CHNR as examples.

The solid colored GMT bezels make the most sense for many. The bi-colored ones were marketing 101 methinks.

When we start inventing watches to go with a nickname, It's definitely gone too far.

You forgot the other rule of Rolex nicknames: two syllables or less.

X1000. Enough already with the sickening juvenile asininity.

As I posted once before, a man came in to my AD while I was there and he asked for a Pepsi.

My AD (very professional, and hates nicknames) said "We don't have Pepsi But I would be more than happy to offer you a nice cold bottle of water."

I won't expound further other than to say the man soon left, and rather embarrassed.

If it actually even happened.
Most ADs use the nicknames - even the official Rolex website acknowledges the nicknames.
Very few individuals find the use of playful nicknames "sickening".
