Sky Dweller Owners...Will the bracelet fit my 8 inch wrist?

Hello SD Owners,

I had been reading past posts that the Sky Dwellers' bracelets are shorter than the other SS models. I am in the market for a Sky Dweller, but I am not sure if it can fit my 8 inch wrist without the need for extra links. Are there any Sky Dweller owners with big wrists like me ? Thanks !!!

You’ll need a couple extra links

The question I’ve yet to resolve relates to their thickness/height off the wrist. One member here told me he had to wear his bracelet very tight to stop it sloshing around.

It’s a fine looking piece of kit but a substantial chunk of metal.

I have 20cm wrists. Most Rolex bracelets are just right at max setting .(Not using glidelocks but the extension on a DJ41 as an example.) On the SkyD the bracelet may just work .Have to try it on.

IMO as an owner of the Sky-Dweller, I think it gets a bad rap as being a large and heavy watch when in reality it wears more on the smaller side and is not noticeable heavy.

The OP should ask their AD if this is possible.

I have a smaller wrist, 6.5, but I don't think that with all the links in place and the easy link extended that you couldn't comfortably make it work.

Have close to that measurement. Had the AD add a link and it’s just right with the easy link extended, but I like a looser fit. You’ll need to add at least one link.

Thanks.

My only experience with it is 15 minutes in the wrist in a store. I hope my initial impressions are wrong as I really like it.

Give it another shot if you have a chance, it's a great watch

You'll need at least 1 extra. I'm 7.5-7.75" and max out on what rolex give as standard.
I've had GMTC, DayC and SkyD, all on maximum standard bracelet. For some reason, you get more links with the SubC and I have to take off.

I have the Skydweller 326933 and bought 1 extra-link with over 8 inch wrist. I can now hardly fit it with the extension opened, so I’ll try it out, if I need a second link.

My ad sold me the additional link for 160 Eur...

If a true 8” you will need an extra link or two. Make sure you can get them before purchase. There was talk a while back that they were hard to get.

I am waiting for my links now. No way that bracelet fits 8+ without them. Hopefully I get it back in a week.

Thank you all for your much appreciated feedback. Looks like I will be needing 2 extra links then since I like a looser fit.

Most likely yes, you’ll need extra link, possibly one or two. Mine is 16.5 cm and I was removed just one link.

Similar problem here; I have a 16600 SD (one of the last made with that designation) and have developed arthritis in my left wrist and now it measures a touch under 8 1'2".

Currently have 5 links on right and 6 links on left. and I do have one extra link. Even though I have the correct tool I'm a little reluctant to do this myself. Nearest AD is 90 miles away. Should I go ahead and order another link before making the trek? Thanks much.

Having been one of the early owners of the SS SkyD with a smallish wrist (6.5in), I would say that it isn't an awkward feeling watch I found if comfortable. It was definitely at the large end of Rolex's offerings and almost larger that I should have been wearing. But uncomfortable or unwieldy it was not.

No links added for my 7 3/4” wrist, I’d guess you need one link.

Thanks to all who had responded. I had just collected my Sky Dweller Blue recently and had to add only 1 link for my 8 inch wrist. Logging it down here for the benefit of other new or would be SD owners.

How many links does it actually come with? I've read somewhere it is 12 but thought standard is 13 links?

Yes,my 18" wrist is too tight on bracelet.Looking now for 1 link. They should mention this possibility before you purchase the watch so you do not have to go chasing parts.

Doesn't it seem strange that Rolex would put a smaller bracket on one of their largest sports watches that looks best on larger wrists?
