Extra links for new Rollie

Hi,

I'm going to buy a pre-owned rolex watch thats missing the extra links to the bracelet. It's the first the time I'm buying a rolex without the extra links, so i wonder if somebody knows how important/expensive it is to buy new links seperate? Its to a submariner 116613lb

Kindly regards,
C

How do you know the watch doesn’t have all the links it came with from factory? Did the seller tell you it was missing links ?

Haven't bought the watch yet, and it's from a private person. So I thought it might be a good idea to check here before doing something.

And I know it because its a friend that sells the watch, and he told me about the missing links :)

In Europe, links and half links can easily be purchased from dealers. But usually they will require to install them for you.

Thank you for your answer!

Do you know how expensive each piece is?

Extra links for the newer Two Tone bracelets are expensive. Older Two Tone links will fit if you search on the used market, but typically, links are available at Dealers.

If you have to replace a thousand bucks worth of links to get it back to the original configuration, the price should reflect those missing links.

I’d wait till you’ve tried the watch on, may not need any extra links. It may be a perfect fit when it arrives

If I remember correctly, a brushed stainless steel half-link for Submariner (ref. B32-21029) was 45€ (or 65€ ), but that was a couple years ago.

Thanks Buddy!

Do you know a trusty seller I can order the links from online?

But what if I would want to trade it or sell it in the future? It would be worth less without the extra links hehe

I wouldn’t worry about it. If the watch fits don’t waste a penny on extra links
Make it the next persons problem if they need them.

I will take your advice then haha

Btw, do you know how many pieces an original bracelet should be?

He told me he is missing 2-3 pieces, just want to know by 100% how many it actually is :)

In Canada you have to provide model & serial number to AD in order to get links, approx. cost $290 CAD per link for 116613

I can’t explain the feeling that came over me when I read that word. I can’t even repeat it.

The first time I ever heard the term Rollie was the exact same time I first heard the term bling, thanks to Jennifer Lopez using the term "Rollie bling" in one of her songs that was inescapable at the time. Douche chills is an understatement for how it made me feel then, and now.

For a visual analog of the concept, I summon Vladdy to the circle.

I really don’t know what’s worse, calling it a Rollie, that video, or admitting that I made it to 3:25 before I croaked out.

They can be purchased on eBay, Watchfinders Co UK, has pre-owned links listed for sale for very reasonable price. I bought a half link from them before and they shipped rather quickly to the states.

I'm also on the Breitlingsource forum. This was a relatively new video when I first joined there, and it was legendary, since Breitlings tend to get the custom ice treatment by people looking to make the ultimate d-bag statement.

Please. I wouldn't buy a bus pass from him. I have no doubt he'd try to convince me it's genuine by touching it with an LED wand and saying, "You wanna test this pass? We do it for you, baby, all day long! What's up?"
