They sound like pretty safe cities to me. But I’m from London.
There’s always dodgy parts in every city |

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, Concord. My son & daughter in law live in Oakland. I’m in Oakland a lot. Just like any big town, be aware, don’t go to certain areas.
That said, the Oracle arena during the series is going to have a police presence, I wouldn’t worry. PS I also lived in San Francisco, as a student & an adult, again be aware, stay away from certain neighborhoods at certain times.

Safety when travelling to...
I know places around Oakland, SF, the arena, BART, etc where you can easily be targeted for your watch. If you’re at the wrong place at the wrong time, crossing path with a thief, then it was meant to be.
Can you reduce the risk? Of course. It’s common sense so I’ll let you make your own path. Do you want to live someone’s else path or your path? You decide. I hate to be honest but these are questions my 11 years old would ask me. Go Warriors. |

I live in the SF bay area. I wear my rolex (BLNR, Sub & Daytona) every where in SF, Oakland, Berkeley. No one would notice and no one cares about it here. Please enjoy the game and wear your rolex. Please take pics during and share.. Thanks

I can’t speak for Oakland but San Francisco is bad. The homeless own the streets. My wife was once assaulted there by a homeless person . She only goes a few times a year and it turned out that several of her coworkers had also been assaulted in SF by the homeless
Ive seen human feces on the sidewalks in SF. I’d definitely not take anything of value or at least hide your watch when outdoors |

You'll be fine if you're not feckless.
Though once again, like a mantra, if you're that worried about your watch, shouldn't you also be rather more worried about the bag of flesh and bone that carries you around?

I see why Padi is leaving the forum!
Same precautions as any where from Southside Chicago to upper east side Manhattan... Don’t flash it around, be aware of your surroundings, and if you feel uncomfortable, leave it in hotel. This is life common sense and not just applicable to your Rolex. Your overthinking it. Enjoy the trip!! |

youre gonna be at the Warriors home game for the NBA finals. the people there are serious about their team and arguably paying a good amount of scratch to attend said game. yes, I am equating ticket prices to arena safety. with all the nonsense thats been going around this country, its guaranteed security will be around making sure everyone is safe.
dont worry about your watch. wear it, wave it around and enjoy the game. go DUBs!!!

The US is not safe for travellers, huge amount of visitors get robbed there every year and they don’t only lose their watches but their lives too in the process. Leave your Rolex at home and wear your G-Shock or Mickey Mouse watch in order to avoid any attention.
Just kidding. I guess OP’s post was a joke; there has been numerous posts in this forum regarding safety issues in Europe that seem equally senseless...

In December I wore my GMT to the Steelers vs. Raiders game, at the Coliseum, in my Steeler jersey.
You'll be fine. (As a side note Raider fans are a blast, real party animals.) |

I worked in SF and for 20 years I has a Rolex on my wrist, never felt threatened. I’ve been to many GSW games in Oakland, and no issues there as well. Enjoy the Finals.

I wore my Rolex to all the warriors home games I’ve been this year. Plan on wearing them to the finals. I think you’re safe within the arena and parking lot. Tons of police officers and security. Not so sure if you decide to venture away from Oracle, but I wouldn’t worry if you’re going to the game in a car and parking in the Oracle lots.

I struggle to understand these safe travel threads.
If you’re traveling to areas where you’re genuinely worried about being robbed of your Rolex, are you also worried about your personal safety? I’ve travelled extensively throughout the US, Europe and here at home and I’ve never worried about my watch. |
