I tried two red leather straps on my Yacht-Master, a red perforated Hirsch and a shark skin. As I didn't have aftermarket end links I took them off eventually.
I liked the overall look, but the problem was they rubbed against the case and got damaged. Also, the case between the lugs didn't look nice (not finished like the rest of the case). So back on the bracelet. |

I have PTSD from trying this! Tried to do it and ended up scratching the back of the watch so never again!

I would. The five digits sports models are strap monsters, I've worn my both 14060m and 16570 on NATOs.

All about switching it up. Leather, NATO, rubber - I like it all. Bracelet will always be king, but who doesn't like having options?

So many nice options. I put my 16710 on a suede strap and it looks amazing to me.

As much as I like some straps, I've never seen a sports Rolex look better on a strap than on the steel (or gold) bracelet.

Do like some of the after market straps I see, but being of zero practical inclination, a tad clumsy and easily frustrated by anything remotely fiddly, I'm never going to take it upon myself to change between bracelet and strap or vice versa.
So far only have two, both on Oyster bracelet which I find very comfortable anyway, both with PCLs. And since the scratches haven't bothered me really since I got over the first one inflicted by my mother's Cockapoo (mad as a box of frogs), don't have the reason of preservation of the bracelets to justify finding somebody to change them for me. Sorry but I am cringing at these aftermarket straps. IMO, they do not look good and are not improvements....that 16618LB on a blue rubber...

Did for a while 15, 20 years ago. Kept coming back to the bracelet. So my answer is NO swapping.

You bet! My Rolex watches are tools not dandy jewelry pieces. My Sub is usually on a Nato or a Rubber B and My GMT alternates between the oyster bracelet and Everest.

just did yesterday :) looks like a totally different watch. The blue in the strap compliments the dial so well.

Depends on the watch and the strap options. On the Hulk, I like the all brushed bracelet so I leave it the way it is. On my GMTIIc and Daytona C, I have made some strap changes both from Rubber B.
