What will you do.......

Got a call from my AD and I have the opportunity to buy the NEW GMT with the Jubilee bracelet 126710BNLR AKA Batman if I want it.

Here is the thing, I also have last year’s GMT 126710 BNLRO aka Pepsi with the Jubilee and I also have the Original GMT 116710BNLR with the oyster bracelet.

I like the look of the New Jubilee bracelet on the Black and Blue GMT and the fact that it has the new movement.

Are these 3 watches too similar??

Will you add it to your collection??

What would you do??

I need to make final decision today.,.......

Help........

Wow, sounds like you have a great relationship with your AD. Buy it if you want it and will enjoy it. If not, let the AD help another one of his good customers and make their day (or year). Nothing wrong with owning them all but if it is something you will flip then let the AD be the hero and he will remember your generosity in the future.

My intentions are not to flip it. I still have all the watches I have bought.

ADs have caused such havoc in this business that even if you’re not a flipper you should just buy the watch and trade it to a grey for a model you want. Right now is the time on this model and you will probably be able to get most SS models as an even trade, or close to it.

Personally, I would need to have a very large collection to have 3 SS GMTs, ymmv.

If I already owned the 116710BLNR, I'd either pass on the 126710BLNR or trade one for the other, but not keep both as I find them kind of redundant in a collection.

I’d get the new BLNR and then decide which one I like better between old and new and sell the other. Good luck.

Buy and keep both. Batman and Batgirl shouldn't get a divorce

I’d get it to see if I’d enjoy it. It’s a beautiful watch. You can always release it if it doesn’t sing to you.

Wouldnt buy it if you don't want it. Dont know why it is that hard. If you like a model no reason not to buy different variations.

I would buy it and trade it on the grey market for a SS Sky Dweller. If my AD can't sell be one, they can at least help me finance the grey premium. Right now the world is crazy. But if I'm in this game, I'm going to play it to win if such an opportunity arises.

It is free money and there is no logical reason why you should say no to it if you decide you don’t want to keep it.

If you don’t there’s someone behind you who will.

You don’t owe it to anyone to not get it, even if you’re unsure if you want it.

I think it's fine to add if your undecided on which you would keep going forward of the three. Don't get it though just for the sake of having the opportunity though.

Personally, I'd be content with what you currently have for SS GMTs (BLNR on Oyster and BLRO on Jubilee). If I was in that position, I'd probably trying adding a CHNR to the collection instead (but I know that watch isn't for everyone).

Let me get this straight; you are blaming ADs for models being hard to get without going to a reseller.

And you are suggesting someone buys from an AD at retail and flips to a reseller.

Yeah, I can totally see how ADs are to blame

Only worth it to flip IMHO. Depends where your morals lie I guess. I’d leave it and get something else.

Your call. I would diversify the collection a bit, but I’m also the guy who owns 3 black divers, and looking for another Sea Dweller. Buy what you like

Sounds like you have a great relationship with the AD... if he offers you a Daytona let me know ;)

I personally would not buy the watch unless it is something I really wanted.

Seems like you’re having a hard time understanding the suggestion that ‘if you can’t beat them, join them’ and at least get a model the op wants. Good try though.
