Haven't visited this thread in a while since letting go of my 1815 a few years ago. But wanting to be part of the ALS club again and contribute to this thread...hopefully soon!

I hope to land a Lange in 2019. My wish list would be Lange 1 and 1815 Chronograph.

Great pic of the 1815 chrono with the Harbour Bridge in the distance

Which gets more wrist time dato or 1815?

Dressed casually today and had every intention on strapping on the sub. Guess I’m still in the honeymoon period But one of the reasons I went with this was that I envisioned it to be a watch I can wear for most occasions (save t shirt/shorts or sports/active scenarios). Happy to report that it truly is quite versatile thus far...

Recently had the chance to visit the NYC boutique to check out the piece I'm considering as possibly my first Lange, the RG 1815 chrono with a black dial.

Wow! It just blew me away. The watch is even more impressive in person than in all the reviews and pictures I had read/seen. Spectacular.

Bonus pics of the other 1815 chronos and a Dato I tried on at Wempe.

Beautiful! I’ve been looking at the ALS 1815 chrono myself and just love the simplicity of the Black Dial! Reminds me of a PP 5170G:

Did the boutique offer discounts?

Just beautiful....had a chance to dry on the dato as well and that is just a beast of a watch...in a good way. Have not yet seen the the black dial 1815 chrono's though....all three ref's are amazing. But really liking that black and white gold combo.

Nice pics! Love the RG black dial. I’ve visited that boutique last spring and people were very nice. Hope to go back this spring, so many nice pieces.

How was the white dial 1815 Chrono in person? I’ve never seen live.

The white dial with blue accents looked very nice as well, but it's probably my least favorite of the three. I find the black dials bring more contrast to the respective metals and tend to like them more.

The rg was actually in the window when I arrived at the boutique and it was drool worthy in natural light. I'm clearly biased, though.

And yes, staff was super nice there. I even finally received a good explanation as to how the calibers in the 1815 chrono and the dato are identical when you look at the case backs, despite the dato having the big date and pr complications. It turns out the modules for these complications are located under the three quarter plate, between that and the dial, so what you can see through the dato's sapphire back is the same integrated chrono movement present in the 1815's.
