Canyon Road Bikes…
Trying to buy a canyon road bike but it’s only available to our friends up North (Canada). Canyon has different paint schemes etc based on region and if you don’t live in that region they won’t ship the bike to you, ie Canada to US. Anyone know of a hack or workaround to something like this?

What Canyon model? Any dealers in your area? I guess you could always fly up there to buy it and fly back with it. Travel like you were bike packing and get around any import tax.

(Not a bicyclist) IDK how attached your are to Canyon as a brand, but my father does nearabout a "century" every weekend (he's 72, not competing, just out with friends being retired) & got himself a Moots. He seems to like it. Similar ballpark price-wise.

A Moots frame costs a whole Canyon Bike…
I’d post a WTB on PinkBike, lots of Canadians on there. Use only PayPal to CYA. |

Ah, didn't know that. Assumed they were all in the few-thousand-dollar ballpark. A quick Google would've saved us some time.

That being said, I am seeing a ton of Canyons here in Colorado lately, especially on the MTB trails. I bought a competitor direct to consumer MTB bike by a company called Spot and it is awesome.

I think now that the bike industry is cooling down, discounts are readily available through B&M retailers again, that their business model is being tested. AFAIK its a company created by pencil pushers with very little involvement in the cycling industry. How long they're able to keep up momentum is anyone's guess, but articles seem to be indicating they're on the way out. As for the regional color scheme. Have it sent to a bike shop in Canada and have it forwarded here from there. Beyond that, contact canyon and express your interest. I genuinely don't think they can afford to lose sales at the moment. In any event! Best of luck on the hunt. I just found a Pegoretti Responsorium Ciavente in my size which was my dream bike/color scheme after cracking the top tube on my Dogma a few weeks back. At the end of the day, you gotta buy what you want to ride. Even if you have to pay to have it forwarded, I imagine the cost is negligible over the long run. |

My LeMond TI/CF is now 20 years old. Over 30K miles and countless overhauls.

Looks like they sell in the US, but you have to go to CA to test ride them. As far as I can tell at least. |

You can get canyon in the US, no problem. However, Canyon has different colors depending on region and if you don’t live in that region they won’t ship to an outside region. IE. I want a color only available in Canada but living in the US they won’t ship, I have to settle for a US color way.
