The Bond Card

I don't get it. Why would anyone buying a new Sub try to connect it to James Bond. In the movie it's a 5512 later a Sub Date. How does this connect to the new Subs?

Because girls like Bond, and guys want to be James Bond.

No big secret, this kind of thing happens all the time.

It's an association that was a big hit when it first took place, and it just stuck no matter what's taken place for the last 50 years or so.

Who cares?

It sounds cool.

I thought of getting a Submariner and look like James Bond but I changed my mind when I realized there was no Aston Martin coming with it...

Didn't the AD tell you?

You can still get that option, you just have to pay for it Carl, that's all.

Try to explain to an AD that 22$, a candy bar and my leather jacket are more than enough to cover such a car's cost, they didn't want to listen to me...

Unfortunately the closest thing to the James Bond watch to car integration reality is the JLC AMVOX2 DBS Transponder... but this requires you to buy the watch and Aston Martin.

Puff Daddy auditioned to be Mr. Bond. He put together a whole reel. It didn't work out and they went with what's his name. Resulting, Puffy had really elaborate cologne tv ads. So in the end he still made Aston Martin money.

All those guys with '007' personalised plates on their Fords can't be wrong.
It's still a powerful fantasy.

You guys crack me up.
My wife keeps looking at me wondering why I keep busting out laughing. I will let her read it and she just doesn't get it.
I guess she just doesn't have our strong sense of humor. Lol
