Day-date 40 dial choice

At some point in the next couple of years I’m going for my grail watch DD40 president 228238 in yellow gold....still trying to decide what dial....silver with batons or white with Roman numerals. I’m also quite keen on the black dial and would defo be interested if the yellow gold was available with green dial....whats everyone’s preference?

I like the white dial with the Roman numeral but the silver motif dial might get the nod. Would have to see both on the wrist.

I would suggest you go and try on as many as you can, I’m sure the one for you will become obvious

For YG I like the silver. Black is also nice, a bit bolder. White for me is a little boring, not as interesting.

I wouldn't go with black. To me, the white against yellow gold on the DD really pops, but that motif is stunning. You really can't go wrong between the two.

I like the silver...either the batons shown above or the Romans. The champagne with Romans is nice, too.

Really no wrong choice...just go try on everything you can get your hands on.

I thought I was the fan of the batons, but got to try on the one with the roman numerals on the silver dial- yeah, that's the one I would get

Those romans are polished to reflect light, couple that with the warm tone of yg and all the other polished surfaces and it just glows.

Mine is the black "Motif" dial. But I think both the champagne stick and the sunburst roman are nice.

I like the romans, very classy! I chose the batons because I think, for me being in jeans/smart casual clothes most of the time, the batons fit better. The romans are a touch more dressy/formal.
