Going to Aruba soon - any advice on ADs?

Hi All - Heading for a vacation in Aruba soon, wondering if anyone has done business with ADs in Aruba, and if there are any tips, or salespersons in particular that are worth seeking out. Any thoughts/advice appreciated, thank you!

I would try contacting the ADs ahead of time and see what they’ve got. If you’re lucky, maybe they will put something on hold for you with a deposit. Doesn’t hurt to call.

Search for 'Aruba' and you'll see some good tips.

The Hyatt & Marriott both have Rolex AD’s.

The Marriott had a nice collection. Gandelman’s is in the Marriott.

Gandelman's is the AD in Aruba. As stated by others, they have multiple locations. They have a large stock, so it's a good place to try timepieces on. They are not known, however, for great deals (5-8 percent off MSRP). If you are open to other brands like Bell, Ulysses Nardin (one of my favorites), Harry Winston and Graham, then checkout Times Square Jewelers in the High Rise district between the Holiday Inn and Playa Linda. Ask for Ronnie. Expect at least 20 percent off depending on brand/model.

And -- and this has nothing to do with watches -- respect the sun. Wear and bring lots of sunscreen as it's expensive to purchase down there. And more thing - - Smokey Joe's for ribs (across from the Playa Linda in the High Rise District).
