I can’t watch the show long enough to even notice the watch. The fakery is too much to handle.

It is CRAZY how he wears it the way he does. I’ve seen it so loose it spins around like...like I don’t know what.

Great show, they’re funny, have an eye for design, and do great work. Wifey absolutely loves the show.

There’s no flies on them too, quite an empire and brand they’ve been growing before during and after the show ends this year.

I know this thread started a couple years ago, but on tonight’s episode of Fixer Upper Chip is sporting a new rose gold Yachtmaster, worn the same way (backwards, with dial on the inside of his wrist).

Thanks for pointing that out. I've been half watching tonight's episode while browsing here, and didn't notice myself lol.

I always assumed he wore it backwards to reduce the risk of cracking the crystal.

I think Joanna is going to be thrown a few DJs from this forum. I think they have 4 kids with another on the way, so she may be a little busy, in addition to married.

Would never wear a watch this way. It just looks ridiculous. Just as bad as having it as loose as Roger Waters rocks his Datejust.

Yes I always wonder about these home reno shows. The star of the show is filmed swinging a sledgehammer a couple of times then he/she retires to their trailer and the Mexican demo team comes in

I wear mine right/right with the clasp inside the
Wrist unless speaking with a set of notes at a podium.

It allows me to move my hands and check the time
while referring to my notes without my audience knowing
that I am checking my pace.

It’s a Sea Dweller, not a Sub. On last night’s new episode he was wearing a rose gold YM on Oysterflex.

Keep in mind these TV shows make the personas rid themselves of logos and ETC. IT constitutes 'free branding' for these companies, that many other pay for.

I wouldnt doubt the producers are making him turn the watch inside out like that so HGTV isnt giving rolex advertising.

Darn it! You beat me to it. I also watched last nights episode and was excited to see Chip got a new watch. I must of paused it 10 times to try to see what it was. Then at the end of the episode, I saw the Oysterflex and Everose. I’ve always admired how he wears his watches no matter what he’s doing. I also kinda agree that these days he isn’t doing much demo or physical labor but who cares my wife and I love the show. It’s usually on in the background while I’m browsing TRF

Well, that's how all the "reality" shows are. They are staged at least partially in order to create the "experience." There's nothing PC or non-PC about the demolition crew.

Ever watch "Man vs Wild"? Staged as well. I don't think production of these shows would be possible if they were actually real.

I get the feeling you may be joking, but in case you aren’t, I was referring to the stereotype/assumption that the demo crew would consist of all Mexicans.

Do not know if this was mentioned but he just bought a PM YM, you know the one on a black rubber bracket as Rolex calls it

By the way in Texas it’s a Texas timex, PM is fine for Texas

I was watching an episode today and they showed a great wristshot, definitely a SeaDweller.

I watch the show sometimes. Everyone has their own way of wearing their watch. They are very wealthy because of the popularity of the show so he can wear what he wants and he chose to wear a Rolex.
