Yes - to a point. However, the prices of anything that I’d pay a premium for are well beyond what I’m willing to pay. For example, would I stump up USD2k extra for a Hulk if I didn’t have one - sure. Would I pay the ~60% (~USD50k) extra Ive seen asked for an AP15407st...nope!

All these people saying “hell no” makes me smile! If I asked 100 people if they would pay $10,000 for a mechanical watch without an alarm, backlight and such that keeps worse time than their phone, at least 99 would say “hell no”. But everyone here did and most for a steel watch with no intrinsic value but consider it a matter of pride to not pay more than the price Rolex had set (which had nothing to do with its intrinsic value), and sit on waiting lists complaining.
I got mine for about the same as the tax rate in most states and had it on my wrist in 24 hours. Considering that my time is money and the current supply/demand, I think I got a fantastic deal! Oh, and the presence of greys is purely a function of Rolex attempting to drive exclusivity by limiting supply. I’m not criticizing really, each person has their priorities, but all things considered it’s pretty funny! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I personally refuse to pay over MSRP, but that's because I know I will eventually get one. For people who can't even get on a list, and believe me I was one of them at one point, you just have to suck it up and pay if you can't live without one.
