I’m thinking of selling mine, just grown bored of it, and the problem with discoloring bezel is killing my ocd.

I love the 1625 and have been trying to find a silver face bi metal in A1 condition for ages, but there certainly aren't many around. The photos on this thread look great. I'm at a loss why it was never a more popular model.

I think this is one of the most underrated watches! Love the dial and red accents.

Does the later edition TOG wear larger than a standard 36mm datejust?

I always heard the original T-Birds did.

That is the watch Todd Beamer was wearing on 9/11. I saw it last Saturday at the 9/11 Museum in NYC, the date still stuck on '11'. So sad.....

It does seem Un-loved and even more under the radar. I've tried but just couldn't 'get it' with this one. It seems like it's stuck in the middle of somewhere, See, I can't even explain it myself.

I would like to own this watch but the size 36mm is too small, this is preventing me to buy it.

Great watches; I'd love to own an actual Thunderbird. It'd be nice if they were available on the DJ41 platform.

If they came out with a refreshed one in DJ41 format, I'd buy.

I thought the same thing, and I’m 6’5” around 245 pounds, but honestly it wears fine even on a larger build.

And that’s beside two 41mm watches.

No the later edition (116264) TOG wear (small dial) smaller than a standard 36mm datejust.

Old TOG look bigger than a standard 36mm datejust.

Why would it wear smaller? I own the newer reference and I don’t think it would be any smaller than a normal 36mm Datejust. What makes you think that? It would most certainly be using a standard Datejust case and the only difference would be the bezel.

I love the look af the TOG's but 36mm is a little bit too small for my taste.

Look smaller ! Bezel & dial.
I own a 116264 black dial, and I love it.
I also own a 16263 (Rolesor Yellow) bezel look bigger.

Nice watch, owned the black version and loved it (prefer it on jubilee over oyster)

Here's a photo of my Turn-O-Graph with blue dial. Sorry it's not the best photo- it's a bit dirty. But I like the watch for its contrasting red date and second hand on the blue dial. I believe this was a less-popular dial color, but I like it.

As others have noted, the downside of this version is that the bezel rotates too easily (as in the photo, showing it off the 12:00 mark), and the triangle at the top loses its paint too easily. I had it repainted once, and within a month, it wore away again.

But it looks great with a blue shirt!

Let's see it! Been searching high and low for a TOG with pyramid dial.

I found this thread after I post my message elsewhere:
==============================
TOG carries the same 3135 movement as the Sub but it's less than half the price and with a white gold bezel. If I were a Sub owner, I would sell my Sub and go long of 2 TOGs and a few bottles of champagne.

I know a lot of Sub owners would disagree. Lets check the prices again in 3-5 years' time.

I've always been a TOG fan. When I bought my first watch I was pretty disappointed that the 36mm case looked so small on me. Then again, I can't complain about the fact that I ended up with my Explorer....

I’ve loved my Thunderbird since I bought it in 1995. Datejust, oyster bracelet, white dial, and white gold bezel...just a fantastic combination!
