Rolex Submariner 16610 Font Question -Please help
I have a question regarding a pre-owned Rolex Submariner (16610) I recently purchased and would appreciate your expertise!
Please note the serial number: K981XXX (late 2001?) I had the watch authenticated at a reputable local shop and everything looked good, including the movement. After wearing it for a few days I noticed that the letter "S" in the SUBMARINER font looks different from what I've seen on other Subs. (Please see photos) I'm wondering if Rolex had variations in this font and if any other K-serial owners have the same font? I'm worried that this dial could be aftermarket, even though fonts are very crisp and everything else looks accurate. Please share your insight! Thanks... |

Welcome.
Don't see any photos, but I'd guess you're fine. Indeed there are a couple variations of the Sub dial. |

K Series SS Sub Date, LEC?
I also have this watch w/K series S/N. From the photos I see no LEC on this and have examined mine with a magnifying glass and not found one there either. Did any of the K series SS Sub Dates get the LEC?

Nothing wrong with that FLAT "S", buddy. I have two Subs.....the steel version has the flat "S" and the TT Blue Sub has the ROUND "S"........so it's just different dial printers used by Rolex!!

It's the same as his homepage. We don't need that sort of thing here.

I told my date last night, there is a "round S" and a "flat S", and that her "S" was a flat "S." She hit me! I don't understand it!
