The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra Light

Very cool, would love to see this one even though it is way out of my price range

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/th...ra-ultra-light

Cool engineering that will hopefully make its way down in price and to other models.

Omega is really making some great advancements.

Saw this all over my Instagram feed this morning. I like it a lot, I would love to see how the crown works since on the Omega site it was a short computer generated video. I love the execution of titanium especially with the brushed bezel. The display case back really highlights that awesome manual wind movement.

I cannot get over the ~$45,000 price tag though. I think if Omega offered this in a ~$10k option, I would have been all over it.

Light weight and more exotic materials is on fire now in the industry. Price points for these always carries a premium over conventional and even PM materials. Omega is going with the titanium material even though it’s not that exotic as a case material but very unusual as a movement material. I really dig these companies advancing the watch making art form.

I would like to see it but I personally can not afford to add it to my small collection due to the cost

I agree the cost is high, let it trickle down if it catches on

The watch is amazing, I was reading the article thinking the whole time, this is just about the perfect watch for Omega to bring to market. Unfortunately, for the money there are other ultralight watches from manufacturers like FP Journe and Richard Mille that I would purchase before this one.

I hope there is a lower priced version in the future.

Saw the article and liked it, but then I scrolled down and saw the price.

Not sure what they are thinking.

I agree with everyone’s sentiments re the watch and the price. I’m waiting for Rolex or PP to perfect a light weight and scratch resistant material.

I actually like a heavy watch and am not a good enough golfer to care! I like that they are pushing themselves into the convo tho with the higher priced manufacturers as a proper alternative.

Had a similar experience. I read the article all the way through thinking "hey cool this is something new and innovative" then saw the price and chuckled.

I like where Omega is going with continued innovation. Would have been nice to have a power reserve for a manual wind watch, but I get what they were going for on the first iteration of timepieces based on this new movement.

Gotta hand it to omega. Unlike Rolex who smacks on a ceramic bezel, and calls it an upgrade, (though has been used sine the 70’s) and is pure marketing gimmick, omega really pushes to innovate.

Cool concept and technology but by looks alone it doesn't look anything close to a $50k watch.

I like the innovation, hope the tech will trickle down to other offerings later on.

I think this is the way to look at it . Price is for those who want bragging rights. Tech is for future mainstream omegas

I don’t think anyone is bragging about acquiring a $45,000 Omega.

Very cool, indeed, but like BNABOD said, someone has to pick up the R&D costs... Am I only one who is reminded of the retro/70s Omega Cosmic with this one? Either way, that movement is super cool to look at.

Based on current Omega releases, I'm surprised it's not a limited edition.

At that price point, I’m 100% sure it will be a limited edition lol!

Cool watch and especially the movement. Frikin crazy price.

I predict they'll sell two.

I mean, you can buy almost any other watch within reason, Many Pateks, APs, TWO gold Rolexes.

What gives? Change the material, take the autowind off, and BOOM! 10X the price.

Very cool. Good for Omega. Takes some moxie to produce that watch.

Way too much money regardless of how light it is or how cool it looks.

Not really my style, but I appreciate the effort and hope the use gamma titanium makes its way to a speedmaster.
The price is beyond ridiculous to me, but it's causing people to talk about this watch more than they normally would. Perhaps the true intention of the high price.

Just saw this ad in a new DEPARTURES for Dustin Johnson Big Bang with a retail price of $32,5000. Is Omega trying to compete with Hublot with this AT?

Yup, price exclusivity doesn't work here, rather people will pity you for paying that much, whereas if this retailed at 20K and was worth 40K resale then everyone would be clamouring for it and happily showing it off, got to underprice these to have a chance of success not put all your research into the price, that's last century thinking, just like the AP Code.

I need to go hold one of these. How light is ultra light? My pocket book would be lighter if I bought one...

I would love one of these. It’s just a little more than I think I would spend.

I like the concept. But at that price, it would be way at the bottom of my list.

55 grams with the special almost nothing strap. How much with the regular rubber?
