Warranty card. Not filled in by AD
So, I just got my watch from my AD, and my name nor the date of purchase is filled out. Does this mean its not under warranty till its filled out, and if that's the case, why not wait awhile and get more warranty time. Picture enclosed to explain my point. Read the top of warranty card.
Also, if I ever sell it, the new buyer has the luxury to fill their name in. So all in all, are there pro's and con's to an empty card??? |

All depends on if they activated the cards warranty in the computer. You can leave the name blank but i would fill in the date of purchase. Trying to extend the warranty can get you in trouble.
Phone and make sure the warranty was activated or it will be hard to activate later. |

Paul, do yourself a favor and let them fill your information in. It's your watch, you bought it and they should have filled it in. IMHO. Almost forgot, Congrats

The swipe is all that matters. Never buy a watch where date is not 100% verified to be same as the swipe date (= buy only from AD or with original sales invoice from AD with date.)

Glad to hear that the AD swiped the card to activate the warranty. As someone mentioned, I would have the AD write the date of purchase on the card, although you can probably do it yourself. If you require warranty work later on, having the date on the card will be important. Some ADs will leave the name blank in case you want to give the watch to someone else as a gift, but will usually fill in the date, unless they simply overlooked it.

I asked my AD to backdate a single day to match my wedding day, and even though I'm friends with the lady, she said absolutely not. They take these warranty cards/names/dates details very seriously. No handshake deals here, it all has to be perfect

all solved, I was told by AD to write 6/1/2016 in, They are in Vegas, and I'm in Arizona, so this is the best solution.
thanks all |
