Definitely got tricked today

So I was playing poker today and the dealer of all people sit down and it catches my eye. A Two Tone Rolex Daytona. I get so excited to talk to him about the watch and ask how long he has it etc and then he puts his hand closer to me to give me a card and boom no Rolex Crown in sight.

Moral of the story is from far away I definitely thought this was a Rolex Daytona and would've definitely asked him about it until he put his wrist a little closer to me. The watch looks crazy similar. Never knew it existed until I googled "Two Tone Daytona look alike"

Are you trying to tell us it is an Invicta?

It's not even a decent chronograph.

I can't imagine why anyone would bother go buy one.

It's a complete waste of money.

People say the same thing about buying the real one also. It is totally subjective.

It's not subjective it's quantitative. You can do it or you can't.

People can say anything, but that doesn't mean they're not full of crap and if you think that you cannot objectively compare a Rolex and an Invicta, then I would say that is something you need to address.

As he said, some people would say that about the Daytona, myself included. You may hold similar opinions on some of my watches, but I feel no need for you to address that.

Some people would rather spend $50-200 on an Invicta and use the $10-20,000 on a car or a vacation and they still know what time it is. It’s a valid choice. No one doubts that Rolex makes a better watch.

I never diss other folks watches. Too each their own. I will say for the $$ Invicta has a some nice watches out there with decent Swiss or Japanese movements. I personally have an Invicta Diver with SW-200 movement. I am not a big fan of their "gigantic" watches ... but maybe that is because I have a small wrist. I can see guys with large wrists liking Invicta's ... They definitely have lots of Unique Wrist art! :)
