Sizing help
So my wife currently has a 26mm and would like something larger. We are looking at something that is 36mm like the datejust. or even an older submariner but open to what may work. The issue we are having is the size of her wrist. With all the links taken out of my Submariner this watch still wont fit, i do understand that it is a larger face but we aren't even in the ballpark. When we go to an AD to see what will fit they wont size it until you purchase it, so we still cant tell what will and wont work. So I am turning to the pros here, I did some research and it looks like most of the bracelets are the same size with exception of some of the larger 41mm watches. Do any of the bracelets vary in size or in how small they can get from taking the links out? She like to wear it tight and not loose. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't think that is out of the question, does that have a smaller bracelet to start with?

What I would do is I would get a measuring tape and measure her wrist size. Alternatively, use a strip of paper, mark it, and later measure the mark to end distance with the ruler. From there you can go to checking what watch can be sized down to that wrist size. As to bracelets minimal size, most bracelets are same size with full links but some bracelets can have more removable vs permanent links. For example, jubilee 63600 is exactly the same as 63200, but has two more removable links (https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=144115). So it is more likely to be sized down to small wrist.

Or do what my mom does. Wear it on leather.
See my IG from today. 1500 on a leather strap. She has a tiny wrist.

I think most women would go for the 31mm DJ if they want to go with the larger trend. But it all depends on your wife’s wrist size.
Here is a 28mm and a 31mm. That’s my moms wrist and I think her wrist size is roughly 5 3/4”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
