1992 Submariner

Hi
I have a 27 year old sub, I wear 24/7 and it has been serviced through Rolex regularly.
In the last two weeks it has stopped running on two occasions, each time I have noticed it stopped as I woke up.
Thanks for any help.

Make sure it's fully wound by giving it some 30/40 turns on the crown. If it stops again go see a watchmaker

Last serviced two years ago, it's a bit expensive to have done yearly. I've had it since new so I suppose it's not surprising, thanks.
Done the 40 turns.

Sounds like it could be a problem with the automatic winding system. Give it a shake in your hand and see if you can feel or hear the rotor turning.

Something could have broke internally since the last service. Sounds like you will need to send it in again

No, I don’t think yearly servicing is necessary or even a good idea.

Just because you are wearing it does not mean you are winding it as its wrist activity whats wind the movement. It will do no harm whatsoever to give a full manual wind once or twice week even when worn yo keep power-reserve at peak..
