The difference in the color between the article and the Rolex website is dramatic. It leaves one wondering which to believe. An example of making watches look better can also be seen when looking at the Milgauss in person and comparing it to photographs of those attempting to sell the watch (trusted sellers). Almost without exception, the sellers change the color of the watch to make it significantly more appealing that the actual watch. The second hand is made dark red, the dial dark blue, and the green in the crystal dark green.

An even more dramatic manipulation of colors is done with the DeepSea D-Blue. With this watch, the posted pictures have the blue changed from the natural light blue to an almost iridescent dark blue. The doctored pictures make the watch look incredible.

So the article you are referring to has an amazing looking watch. I wonder what it would look like in person?

I think it's quite like the blue and green sunburst Sub dials, light out in the sun and darker indoors.

Thanks for sharing. The pictures from the link are the best I have seen for this watch.

As an aside, as much as I love the Cerachrom bezel, I think the gold bezel works better for the YG Daytona. Not sure if the Cerachrom bezel will flow as nicely as the gold bezel. In any event, the green dial looks amazing and can't wait to see it in real life. I love the black dial, but really want to wait for the green one to become available at my AD before making any decisions.

Agreed that the ceramic isn't necessarily better; I like the old-school all-metal look.

The blue-galvanized "Chairman" dial version of the earlier-generation YG Daytona ain't bad, either:

I think the subdials on the new green dial would have looked better with filled-in rings like the blue example above, too.

The pictures in the post are amazing. I like it much more than the official pictures by Rolex. If the watch looks in person as in the article, it will be a killer

Thanks for sharing this, not too knowledgeable about the Daytona, but this looks great as well!

We are in sync on the bezel, Eric.
