Will Rolex make a white gold panda dial ceramic bezel Daytona?

Given that the BLRO's introduction was in white gold, do you think Basel 2017 has a new precious metal Daytona with full panda dials?

My I think white gold is the next series of Daytonas to get a black ceramic bezel.

Statistically speaking there is a very low chance that this will happen in 2017. You are talking about probability and the chances that two events will happen in the same year and yield a result. The first being the introduction of ceramic on white gold and the second event being the reintroduction of a panda dial. It has been debated that WG/yg daytonas may not receive ceramic bezels because ceramic may not nesessarily look good with all the dial variations offered in precious metal. Only time will tell. I think there is a good chance this could happen eventually.

I'd have to imagine that the ceramic bezel will eventually permeate the entire Daytona lineup. But who knows?

Would make sense. Those who are stuck on waiting lists, if they exist for that long could walk out with the WG model and feel good about it.

Well they kept the SS dials pretty much as they were so I think the WG's dials, which are all widely admired, will probably remain and get the ceramic treatment. Next year seems fast for Rolex but they don't stand on ceremony these days, so very possible.

I think white and black dials will get a black bezel, but will the slate dial get an all new slate ceramic bezel? Could be very interesting.

Question is what color will the bezel be on WG? The look achieved above is easily doable on current SS ceramic with a panda dial.

Why wouldn't they release this in SS? It's incredible. A bazillion times better than what they just released for the new Ceramic Daytona in SS..

No...but it would certainly make me think hard about grabbing one.

If in steel, it'd be a no brainer...I'd be all over it.

I am so thankful they didn't as I would not have bought it then. For me the new white is the best new release in years and they nailed it. So different strokes for different folks. As to OP post: Will they make a ceramic bezel on WG reference? My guess is eventually all Daytona's have ceramic bezels.

PS Never have been a fan of Arabic numbers on Daytona dial and the black sub chapter rings and black bezel equals perfection for me.

There are a few folks here with SS Daytonas and the WG racing dial, so would not be surprised to see someone swapping the white or black dial 116500 for a WG panda dial.

I'm planning to put the same WG Panda dial:

and red hand set from meteor Daytona:

into a 116520; possibly a ceramic bezel as well.

Eventually...they are probably going to bask in the glory of this years release and the subsequent waiting lists before adding more Daytona's.

Is there a black dial version of this? If so can you please post it. Also, can these dials be bought directly from Rolex or aftermarket only?

I don't think there are black dial versions of this dial. I understand you can only source it:

1-Through Rolex as a replacement dial if your WG Daytona already came with it from factory.
2- Through Rolex as a replacement to a WG Daytona if that particular dial was available on the specific year of manufacture of your Daytona.
3- Through someone with a Rolex parts account.
4- On the forums.

So there are no black panda dials with numerals? Thank you, appreciate your response above.

That's an all black dial, thought you wanted a black arabic dial with white subdials. On those the arabics will not glow, just small markers at 3, 6 & 9.
