I voted wait until Baselworld in March , you never know what little surprise Rolex will unveil . If nothing Rolex unveils tickles your fancy after Basel, then take your pick as all other choices are great references .

I’d go with a DateJust, DayDate, or wait to see what’s coming. All your listed options kind of overlap the Sub.

TT Submariner is a great watch but to be honest I think the best Rolex for value for money is the Explorer2 as you can get them for £5450 new. The BLNR is nice if you can get one without paying a premium.

How quickly can you get any of the three?
Looks like you're in Europe, may as well put your name on a few lists and wait it out

BLNR. Really what could Rolex release at Baselworld? A ceramic Coke? Do you prefer blue or red? If the answer is blue then forget about Baselworld. As for the TT Bluesy, it will always be in production in some form or another. It's been around since the '80s.
Now if they release a Submariner with red print maybe that would be something that people would really go crazy over. Edit: Sorry I didn't realize you already have a Sub. BLNR. Why buy the exact same watch with a different look? Better to get a different complication and movement. Even if you don't go for the BLNR, I would consider a different model. If you still want the Bluesy get it later on. The older 40mm polar Explorer II is the better buy than the newer one. While I've seen prices creeping up, it's still a steal.

I would go Explorer II, it compliments perfectly your Sub.

I voted to wait. However, I personally think that a Datejust or DayDate pairs best with a Sub.

You may aswell wait until BW as its very unlikely you will get any of those pieces from an AD anytime soon unless you were thinking of purchasing from a grey dealer?!

Basel, shmasel. Get what you want now. If something comes out that's a significant impact to the steel line up, you won't be able to get your hands on it anytime soon, anyway. If the current supply continues (or heaven forbid decreases), you may never get it.
So...get it now. As to what, I think it comes down to whether you want/need a travel complication or another sub with some zing to it. I would go bluesy, but that's me. |

Depending on what you get you may have a better chance waiting because so many models are so hard to get these days. Although, who knows if Basel will help or make it even harder?

no point waiting for Basel....if there is anything good...it'll take you at lest 2/3 years to get without a premium. Just get what you like. I voted for the 116613 LB! Love it!

None of the above. DJ41 gets my vote. Your choices all lean towards the sports side of which you’ve already got the very best.

I voted for the Explorer II Polar because it's the most different from your current Submariner Date. Unless you want a Coke GMT, I don't think Basel will affect anything.

I’d go with a DJ41 different dial color or a hulk but from your choices I’d go with BLNR
good luck

If there is your dream watch in the current line up go for it.
But Rolex will release some very interesting pieces in the next few years. It already began last year with SD43. Coke GMT? 32xx movement? Supercase modified? I choose to wait. Anyway I'am on the list for my dream watch. DaytonaC |
