Tudor GMT

If you could get the new Tudor Pepsi by June ( full set ), how much over retail would you pay? Will it be as insane as the Rolex Daytona?

Pay retail. I don’t think it will be hard to get. Hard to think they are going to restrict supply as they will with the new Pepsi.

Zero, for me. I pulled pole position at my AD for this piece. Even if I had not, I wouldn't pay over retail for this, maybe...maybe 10% over at most. This will be hard to get for a little while. Probably not dissimilar to the BB Bronze when it was released. I'm betting there will be a secondary premium maybe relatively high, but in terms of actual dollars no where even close to the Daytona.

Right now you can see a white face Daytona C on the secondary for right at $20K +/-, for a watch that retails for $12.2. That's in the neighborhood of a 65% premium. If the Tudor GMT is that hot, at that level you are looking at $6435-ish. That seems a bit on the long side to me, but maybe not. Again, for me, no way Jose' am I paying that.

That's crazy, I would look for a discount. That piece will be hot for maybe 12 months then depreciation will set in... I would pay up to retail, but that's it.

Will be no where near the Daytona insanity. I am first on the list at my AD and they only have 3 more after me. I am expecting to see one in June. While I do think this watch will hold some value for awhile compared to other Black Bays, I don't think they will be hard to come by once releases start coming in.

I wouldn't pay any premium for that watch. This is Tudor, not Rolex after all. I don't expect them the play the games with supply that they do with the Rolex SS models. Get with a few AD's and I would be you'll have one by July or August at the latest at MSRP.

I can't see this Tudor being crazy hard to get. In a couple months after release you should be able to get one at or even a slight discount.

Personally I would not spend more than retail. Although a fantastic watch, I can't see the demand being at the Rolex's level.

Don't Sweat it. Malaysians will wait patiently, paying at MSRP or at a discount. We are not a guillible bunch, well informed and certainly NOT STUPID

I really doubt you will need to pay over retail for it - you might have to wait a few months but thats it.
I got the S&G and the LHD last summer and both were supposedly a little hard to get in Tudor terms and they were straightfoward.

I talked to my local Tudor dealer and he told me this will be harder to get initially, well for a Tudor but it isn't going to be a huge issue. He could get me one fairly quickly if I wanted.

Don't pay over retail for this.

I sent my AD a text while he was at Basel and said I think I needed this one on a strap. His response was “and so you shall”. Think they will be easy to get at msrp up front. Then the flippers will set in and Tudor will choke the supply like they did with the LHD.

I wouldn't pay anything over MSRP.

The watch will be available eventually and I have plenty of watches to rotate through until that day comes.

I wouldn't pay over MSRP for Tudor GMT. The more over MSRP it is, the more it would push me to look at used Explorer II. I know GMT and Explorer II are not the same, and I love rotating bezel on my GMT Master II to track one more time zone, but if Tudor was so overpriced that it would cost same as mint 216570 that would be a no brainer for me.

This is not a supply issue, it depends on demand, and Tudor have had a good Basel and the Pepsi is getting a lot of buzz, the Rolex also helps, so I expect waiting lists.

I love the watch, but if I get one I'm going to wait until they're below MSRP. No sense in buying the hype price.

A bit of a silly question. I would look for a discount on the Tudor GMT. List price as a last resort price. This is not a rare watch or a must have watch. The buyer that pays more must have money to burn ?

A bit of a silly question? What is this forum and this respective obsession we all have if not completely "silly" in the context of real world issues? If you have nothing more to contribute than a negative response why are you here? I think it is a relevant topic that has clearly generated conversation about a fun and current watch. Money most here do have to burn. Time on negativity I do not!

Paying over retail would be what I would call throwing your money away! Even for a Rolex. Paying over MSRP for Tudor or any other brand is out of question.

I am not a collector, but I do like watches. I will try hard to get what I want, but not paying above retail in anycase.

There are people willing pay above MSRP, people who will get it at MSRP and some will even get it at a discount. My AD said he might be able to give me some discount right away!

Try to be patient, the Harrods TBB saw greys happily mark this up 100% so the first Pepsis will have big mark ups, but if no one bites, these should calm down.

I think these will be relatively well stocked. The first few shipments will likely go quick though. I wouldn’t pay above MSRP for that one.

Definitely not above or even at MSRP. I'm ok waiting and buying preowned with a discount when it comes to Tudor (or anything non Rolex)

I am having a good giggle at all the people trying to sell Black Bay GMT's now for more than they paid, when they are becoming quite readily available with very short wait times.

I saw one here in Canada try to pretend what he paid in Canadian $ was a $US purchase.

Happy to wait for the market to be more flooded by BB GMT's
