OK, so I'm just minding my own business when the AD calls the other day and says he has something for me. The Daytona 116519. Gulp. We had actually talked a little about it with the CHNR purchase a couple of weeks ago. It piques my interest, because it would kill two birds with one stone. I've been feeling lately that I didn't give my 116655 enough of a chance and the 519 has been calling my name. And, the only way I'd buy one of these is at the AD where they size your wrist with the sizing tool and have access to different size straps to get you the perfect fit.
So, the perfect storm was brewing. Stars and planets were aligning. I feel I must address this right? I mean, what would any of us do in a similar situation? I make the drive, try it on and, bam...there could only be one resolution. In one fell swoop OF is back in the collection. And a new Daytona is in the house!  My SA, Cory, helped me greatly in the process. He is a heck of a guy and quite the WIS. The watch fit pretty well out of the case, albeit just a touch large, but he is ordering a smaller 6 o'clock side strap for me so that I can get the absolute perfect fit. What a guy!  Oh, and I got to try on a bunch of Tudors and made my wish list for the coming year. 3 or 4 more and I think I'll be set.  Couple of quick and dirty pics on the drive home...more pics to follow.
