I've never had a Nato turn smelly. Not certain what experiences that others have had. I really liked the fabric straps from Tudor which were made the by the same company as Vatican robes.

The Tudor straps are the bees knees. Since they use a fabric for their straps it is not durable at all. Within the first 2 months the holes on mine where completely worn out. Which sucks for such an expensive strap.

Yes, I didn't push mine like that. I hardly really use my Nato straps as I tire of the look quickly and prefer the straps by Everest and RubberB which aren't continuous like the Natos. I tire of them too and generally end up back with OEM everything. I do think the Rolex Tudor straps are the most comfortable I've come across!!! Seems like worn out would go well with your rehabbed AK!!!

Believe it or not I can stand a janky strap. So no worn out versions for me.

My AK almost always stays on this one now.

I have been wearing a Nato/G10 straps for over 26 years all over the world.

One strap i have actually had since the early 90's, wearing it today in fact.

They get dirty of course, but i normally wash them with hand soap and a nail brush, come up like new. They dry in next to no time and defiantly do not smell.

Same here. And it is quite flimsy for the bb. Needs a proper nato strap

While looking at straps I came across this article on the rare MilSub successor.

I'd only buy one if Toxicnatos made it.

Wow that AK has seen some things. The wear on that watch gives me some anxiety but at the same time I’m in love. Absolutely beautiful
