Dirt between crystal and dial
Hi-so today, I discovered a grain of sand or dirt lodged between the rehaut and crystal of my Sky Dweller. It’s a new watch, dated 12/18, but a grey market purchase. It was lodged in that gap, eventually got dislodged, bounced around the face for a bit, made its way back into the gap, but now appears to be gone.
Has this ever happened to anyone? I haven’t taken the watch to the beach or anything like that. Seeing as dirt has made its way inside, does that necessarily mean that the watch’s water resistance has been compromised? Would you get it pressure tested?

Yikes. Never had this happen with a new watch and would not feel 100% at ease just letting that 'grain' roam around between the crystal and dial, even though out of sight. I would take it to RSC on 5th and let them take a closer look at what may be going on.

I’m not sure I understand ... where did the dirt go? It couldn’t have just disappeared

Dirt can't just get in to a watch, it has to be sealed in there when the watch is closed up.
I'd be holding it face down and tapping it and try to get it to fall onto the crystal. If you manage that then get it to RSC. |

I’m sure it probably snuck into the movement. Seems like a visit to a RSC may be in order...

I have dirt in a similar location too! Thought it was just me.. AD said i'd have to send it in for a complete overhaul/servicing to remove the dirt.. I'll live with it until service is needed

That would pee me off bigtime.
I would take that to RSC for warranty work and get that dust removed. It could do worse damage if it got into the movement |

Unfortunately, no. I was taking the wife and kids around Lego Land in FL when I first noticed the dirt.
By the time we got back to the hotel, the little bugger disappeared, presumably into the movement; hopefully out of the watch. Although that's probably just wishful thinking.
