omega deployant - does this look genuine?

got it on ebay. described as genuine and came with original packaging, although was opened.

it does close with a firm, crisp click.
however, is it supposed to have this slight gap on the very end? looks suspicious.

Definitely not, I’m looking at mine now and there is no gap. Also, your omega logo is barely raised, mine is easily raised twice as high as yours.

ya i think ur right, had a bad feeling very quickly when i opened the package.
and although cheaper than retail, i certainly paid a lot more than the ones on ebay that are forthcoming about not being genuine.

hopefully the seller won't be difficult and provide a refund - although a PITA sending it back cuz he's in UK and I'm in US.
but if seller becomes problematic hopefully ebay will cover the refund.

a few more photos that help confirm it's fake - the omega lettering is too vertically oblong (the lettering on original is squared), and the weld spots around the bottom of the pin.

Out of curiosity, how much are these going for? I have a brand new one sitting around in my drawer somewhere.

Yeah, wouldn’t trust it unless that’s what you want, a cheap alternative.
