No polish!

Most people look for unpolished watches. Tell your friend to read this forum and search "polished or unpolished". You will remove metal from the clasp then he will scratch said clasp and then polish and remove more metal and so on and so on. Till nothing left of the watch but a pile of scrap metal! If super worried about tiny scratches then by a Casio and put the Rolex in the drawer! Good luck with the new Daytona. Great watch!

If the scratch is much do some discounting, else you let it be before other dameges will be incountered.

LOL. That microscopic tiny bit of a scratch on the clasp?
You should have bigger concerns than this right now!!!
As a matter of fact I see you’re banned. Move on.

You will regret it.

You'll never match the grain and the scoured sore you create will be larger than that minutia.

I've just noticed that I've got a hairline mark on the polished side part of my Datejust. Can anyone advice how I can get this out so I can flip this for a more desirable Rolex, like a Cellini?

Exactly, works well, can't stand scratches on watches

Tease it with a small hammer. Should flatten...

A little rough sandpaper should remove it, provided you use enough force.

I'll do it next time I have a really hot shower, the water should help me lubricate it and wash away any excess metal.

I really like the casio remark.. I have several, they are pretty much scratch resistant and IMO, fun!!!

I think the 20 year old day dates with that level of wear and original unpolished lines look incredible. I wouldn't pay a lot for them but I would rock one.
