Rolex made the blue darker to cover the underlying red ceramic on the blue half of the bezel better. In the process red is done first, then chemical compound for blue is added. I liked it a lot before as well in the colors, but many complained. Perhaps RPR sources noticed these newer bezels and why for the incorrect Coke prediction a few years in a row now.

I guess I'm in the minority in that I like the deep, darker blue and red much better.

That bezel is a chameleon, always has been. One of the best features of the modern pepsi, IMO.

It’s probably just the lighting.

It really is a huge confounding factor, at least in my experience.

First pics I ever took of my Pepsi in-store make it look like a MK1, everything else after some variation between MK1/2/3. I'm not doubting that there is batch variation, but lighting can make a big difference for those in the earlier batches 2018/early 2019 camps at least.

I like the somewhat darker hues for the red and blue. My brother has a white gold Pepsi GMT Master and the colors on his bezel are a bit brighter than my stainless steel BLRO, but the white gold looks different than stainless steel.

I have not met a Pepsi GMT Master II that I have not liked. :)

It's true they vary, I'm on my 2nd one because I didn't like the first batch, prefer the darker one. Sending my current one to RSC today as we speak because I trashed my bezel in mx 3 months ago. Thought I could live with it but can't. What will be interesting is whether or not they can save the ceramic insert and if not what color comes back after service. I'll post after the repair / replacement.

There is hope for this model if they make it in darker colours. I think the purple/pink pastel colours looked terrible. The darker the better for me.

Does anyone else's blue-section look steel-blue in the right light? It's my personal favorite hue I get out of mine. It has been challenging to document on camera; might need a Lightbox to do it.

The dark bezel doesn't look like a Pepsi. I would take the pastel version over it.

I had a 126710 BLNR Pepsi, never unwrapped it or wore it, and after selling it used the proceeds to purchase several Tudor GMT Pepsi watches. IMHO, the Tudor GMT is sturdier, feels and wears better, and doesn’t possess the flashiness of the Rolex Pepsi. Best of all it’s about a quarter the price in the secondary market.

You bought a BLNR Pepsi and sold for several of the same Tudor GMT?

Or a BLRO? But why several several of the same watch?

In person, in direct sunlight the colours arent quite that purple. The camera tends to expose the colours differently then what they appear in person.

Agree, I get the same colors out of mine, but I don't see them so much with the eye.

Great watch. Congratulations. Wear it in good health...

In regards to the color reflection, from some angles yes blue might appear as black depending on the light but blue is blue and black is black.

Sorry a 126710 BLRO. I purchased several Tudor GMT Pepsi watches because I think they represent great value. I can enjoy one and let the others appreciate in the wine cellar.

It’s a mood GMT. Sometimes you feel like a coke and sometimes a Pepsi. I prefer my Mark I dial. It’s definitely 24/7 a Pepsi
