Question about bracelet and lugs

Disclaimer: I already know that majority would answer who cares so please let me be clear that I wear my Rolex’s doing virtually everything and constantly wear the heck out off them so no need to show me the way on this one. I honestly want to know this because it is bothering me a bit.

My DJs bracelet separated a bit from where it connects to the head, the area that meets the end of the lugs. There’s a gap there now. The watch is post hollow links and I’ve only seen this on incredibly old references.

What can be done? Will a new bracelet fix it?

Question about bracelet and lugs

Any pictures to illustrate this issue?

If it’s not due to wear and tear of the actual end link, maybe you can try replacing the spring bar as it may be worn down.

If it is severe wear and tear, you have 2 options;

1. Bracelet refurbish by

-Rolliworks in the Bay Area.

Or

-Michael Young in Hong Kong.

2. You can also completely replace the bracelet via Rolex, albeit at significant cost to you both financially and emotionally as you would have to trade in your original bracelet and that may hold sentimental value seeing as you wear your watch for everything.

Generally this means a bent spring bar. I’d recommend trying that first since it’s very cheap
