Two factor authentication issue …

Hi all,

I’m sure I’m doing something wrong but have no idea what. I’ve enabled two factor authentication, but say during a 20 minute session of reading messages, scrolling through threads etc, I’ll be asked to log back on 2-3 times. If I try to write a post, invariably I’ll just finish writing and try to post, and sure enough, I’ll have to re enter the code and my typed message will be lost.

Ideas? Is this how it works for other people? Or, as is more likely, am I doing something wrong?

What device are you trying to post from? What kind of internet connection do you have?

Are you using cellular data access during your morning commute?

Are you and your device stationary when accessing TRF? If your device's IP address changes, you will be asked to enter another authorization code.

I can't help solve your issue, but I can say this isn't how two-factor works on any of my devices.

Ha, my thread had been moved and I only just found it after assuming it’d been deleted. All I use is the Home Wi-Fi, a VPN, and iPad.

Maybe the VPN has something to do with your troubles? I don't use one.

The VPN is masking/changing your IP

Yes, that’s what I thought as well. But, the added layer of security is always reassuring so I’ll have to accept it.

Thanks all for your help
